St. Cloud VAMC Fishing Trip to Veterans on the Lake Resort Continues to Be a Hit with Veterans

On May 21, 2007 the 39th annual fishing trip from the St. Cloud VAMC was launched. The chartered bus left St. Cloud around 9:00 a.m. with 48 veterans (and some spouses), staff and volunteers. Along with the bus was a van donated by MN DAV Chapter 9 (St. Cloud). The weather was cooperative with rain only on the day of arrival and the day of departure (Thursday May 24, 2007). The fishing was good, and all enjoyed a pleasant stay at Veterans On The Lake resort. The service given by the Staff of VOTL was as usual, excellent. The bus returned to the St. Cloud VAMC at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The St. Cloud VAMC group is one of the very

first group programs to utilize the Veterans On The Lake resort and this veterans service program has been a hit every year since!! We thank the volunteers who make this event a success.
