Chapter # 9 

In July the St. Cloud Chapter # 9 participated in the St. Joseph Fourth of July parade. We drove two matching DAV vans with Chapter Officers and had volunteers handing out candy.

Some other highlights from Chapter 9 for July:

We donated $1,600.00 to a veteran whose son was in need of medical attention and had nowhere else to go for help.

We purchased two reclining chairs for the drivers lounge as requested at the last drivers meeting. They should be delivered in the next month.

We are also getting involved with the Higher Education Veterans Programs at St. Cloud State University. They are opening a new office there and we will be helping them furnish their office. There are 530 veterans enrolled at the university. It will be a good way for us to make contact with the newer veterans. We will go furniture shopping soon.

We donated $ 500.00 to the St. Cloud VAMC mobile Wii units.

We are presenting a Thank -You plaque for the couple that donated the proceeds from the
"Old Glory Run" in Cold Spring MN last May.

We Donated one scooter and one electric wheel chair out of the donor program this month.
