The MN Dept. of Employment and Economic Development or DEED (MN Dept. of Economic Security merged with Dept. of Trade and Economic Development) has moved into the electronic age with a complete package of sites ranging from how to find jobs, information about how to do resumes, and how to do a good job search. . Contact your nearest DVOP or VER for assistance in accessing any or all of the following services.

JOB SEARCH WORKSHOPS
Learn how to improve your job search techniques and promote yourself employer as the best candidate for the job. Learn how to identify and highlight your skills with an effective resume and cover letter. Be sure your resume reflects the "you" employers will want to hire.
JOB OPENINGS
Find out what jobs are available - and where they are. Over 150,000 job openings are advertised every year with your Minnesota Workforce Centers. You can access them all on the Internet on your own computer or computers available at the WorkForce Center nearest you. From entry level to highly technical, managerial jobs, discover what's available in the areas you want to work.
SPECIALIZED SERVICES
Dislocated Worker Services - Training and job seeker assistance may be available to individuals who are laid off from their jobs because of downsizing or closing. Update the skills you now have or receive training for a different profession.
VA VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION
Service connected veterans may be able to go to school for a degree, update skills/training, or learn On-The-Job under the Veterans Administrations Chapter 31, Vocational Rehabilitation Program.
STATE REHABILITATION
The State of Minnesota also has a rehabilitation program that you may qualify for if your disability is not service connected or you do not qualify for the VA Vocational Rehabilitation Program.
