Some DAV members have reported being contacted by an organization identified as the Disabled Veterans National Foundation soliciting contributions for the construction of a memorial for disabled veterans. A small blanket is included with their solicitation. Please know that the Disabled Veterans National Foundation is not affiliated in any way with the Disabled American Veterans or the Disabled Veterans’ LIFE Memorial Foundation, which is a separately incorporated nonprofit organization whose sole objective is to raise the private funds needed to design, build and permanently maintain the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. The DAV supports the creation of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial and we applaud the efforts of the Disabled Veterans’ LIFE Memorial Foundation. Again, there is no affiliation between the Disabled Veterans National Foundation and the Disabled Veterans’ LIFE Memorial Foundation or the DAV.
