Here's wishing everyone a Happy New Year in 2008

We have a larger budget than normal so we have to spend down a little bit. We have been very successful in the past with our fund raisers, thanks to all of our members & your participation in raising funds. We appreciate all of your help no matter what it is, selling tickets, Forget-Me-Not sales, donations or volunteering. Thank You! As most of you know, we only donate if it pertains to Veterans Services such as helping with handicap equipment, transportation, VA hospitals, Veterans Homes, etc. We just donated over $2,700.00 to Meeker County and McLeod County Veterans Service Officers for their projects and this was income from our aluminum can collection!

We are asking your help again with our spring raffle. We ask that you either sell these tickets to your friends or purchase them yourself and return the monies by April 15^th. The drawing will be held at our April 22^nd meeting. If you wish not to sell or buy them, please return the books to me as soon as possible. If you wish more books, contact me at 320-275-3453 & I will get them to you.

We must thank all the volunteers that helped make our Goodwill Thanksgiving Day Dinner a huge success. We served 246 people this year. OUTSTANDING! THANK YOU!!

We hope everyone enjoyed their stick up calendars you received last writing. A little thank you to all of our members!

Some upcoming events are; February we have nomination of officers, March is elections, & April is installation. If you would be interested in being an officer please come down to the Feb. mtg.

Remember we have a new legislative year in effect and we need to keep reminding our legislators and congress people what we veterans were promised and what we have not received! LET THEM NOT FORGET!

Please remember our Chapter meetings are always the fourth Tuesday of each month. Jan 22 & Feb 26 at 7:00 PM at the VFW in Hutchinson proceeded by dinner at 6:00 PM 7 the Chapter pays $3.00 towards your meal.
